The highlight for the end of August was the sellout conference UX Australia. Even though its only in it’s second year, it could still be considered the main industry conference for Australia’s (interaction) design community#. Held this year in Melbourne everything ran like clockwork with an excellent range of workshops, speakers and extra curricular activities (like the morning drawing class by @jbroger’s above) thanks to the fantastic efforts of @maadonna and @docbaty who did another amazing job.  I had the pleasure of working with www.johnnyholland.org and (tweet machine) @vickytnz to cover the conference this year, check out the write up for Day One and Day Two. Looking forward to next year in Sydney already!

#people come from a range of interactiony type backgrounds that you might describe as UX, IXD, IA, UI, User Research, strategy, many with dev backgrounds too and visual designers as well as people shifting into SD (we don’t have an SD specific conference yes but I am sure it won’t be long).
