Design for Social Innovation – A brief overview

Earlier this year I did a talk with students taking the design and business major at AUT. This is an abbreviated version of the session slides, and provides an overview of design for social innovation, including reference to local examples. The intent was to help communicate and explore with the students the collaborative and community-led aspects of social innovation, as well as some of the key areas where design is evolving and shifting as a result of it’s application to complex social challenges.
